For future reference I sort of solved the issue by installing the Pure Audio plugin and using that instead, I then can restart music after AVR/TV has been turned off and I even have 5.1 upmixing working.

e.g.

My guess is that it will be definitely used by some users.
Unfortunately I do not foresee that the team will add such functionality in MP 1 as most focus will be shifted to MP 2, but who knows...

I've created thumbnails for my XM Radio channels. However, the "now playing" thumbnail in the lower left corner is not showing...
When I boot up my machine and generally when I start MP I can hear the NAS start to spin up and wake up (disks hibernate on my box). I am running this as a scheduled task and I think it it running too soon after the machine resumes and before it has had chance to wake the NAS.
