NO, not with a click. The only thing you can do is use a "Control.HasFocus" command. This means when the "mouse" is over the button other buttons/images/text are now visible

The screen is the Search TV Guide screen it contains the text "Search TV Guide", however none of the xml screen files contain this...

Just add this to every XML file you want to change the background.
Place it after the <controls> tag.
And do not forget to delete the cache files placed in the "Cache" folder in the mediaportal root folder. If not no changes will apear.
