Recently came across Easy Real Media Producer, and tried it with a couple of Divx files. Was quite astonished at the quality of the results and the file size. Quality was almost indistinguishable from the original and the file size was about half of the original.
Before anyone goes off the deep end about the iniquity of Real...

I just bought an Wifi photo frame from momento (momento 70) - primarily for slideshows in my living room.
But as it is also (and I believe the only) Slideshow device, that may be the perfect remote display for MP ;_)
I bought it for just €99,- at a german internet shop (Digitaler Bilderrahmen, Bilderrahmen?query=Bilderrahmen: i...

I've had a closer look, and it appears that the remote uses a microcontroller with built in NV ram, so I'd say that the storage of the RC codes are in the NV ram, which is why draining the cap doesn't clear the settings. Drainign the cap obviously just reboots the MC.
I've got a bad feeling that perhaps the NVRam in the MC allows...

Does anyone know if it is possible to report the x/y coordinates of the currently selected control to an outside application?
In my case, I would like to send the x/y coordinates of the selected item in the EPG or GUI to an Autohotkey script. (I am working on a way of interfacing my Airmouse & Remote Control and need to tell the...

You didn't say anything about the "Surprise Me" feature. It lets you tell the channel guide that your favorite leading man is, say, Russell Crowe, and the device will record anything in which the A-list Aussie appears. The same goes for your favorite directors or entertainment genres.
Then it also watches if you tend to stick to a...

Thanks for links DanielleD... very kind of you.
I should have updated the thread because the remote control started working again several weeks after the spilt tea event.
I now keep the GF away from drinks and remote controls - not a good mix.

So the problem wasn't renaming files, but setting FileBot up to move/rename files into the standard Plex file/folder structure? That's pretty much FAQ #1 I have yet to find a good / intuitive solution (that doesn't alienate power users).

When you say "script" you mean "format" or "naming scheme" right? Because there's...

I've found that if I wake my PC using the power button on the case I don't have this problem, only if I wake it by pressing a button on the remote. It's a shame not to be able to wake it this way but at least I've found a workaround that avoids having to go through all that palaver each time I wake the PC.

Does anyone know if there are good Receivers out there with a shiny good UI?
Nice TV Guide with logos and so on.
I am wonder if such exists.
I know a few receivers but the UI is horrible [emoji13]
Small, bad, no logos and not modern.
This is why I use MediaPortal.

Ever heard of a left right sql tree?
It is more complicated but is first of all faster (only one query needed for what you want) and it is more flexible. When you want to start moving nodes around or deleting nodes the left right sql tree is your friend.
