Hi I installed the IPTV URL Splitter. Got it from the repo too as per the link he posted.

    upload_2015-2-11_17-55-26.png

Do I need to uninstall the old one? I don't see it in Extensions manager. I also reinstalled the old one and it still doesn't show in Extensions manager.

Maybe @georgius can check your log to see if you have the right version installed

The logs in 235106_MediaPortalLogs_08_02_15__18_55.zip are surely from MediaPortal Url Source Splitter (old filter). If installing MediaPortal IPTV filter and url source splitter, than previous MediaPortal Url Source Splitter should be uninstalled automatically.

I manually installed the new filter too from the repo. Just to be clear, new filter should be installed before or after installation of this new OV.mpe1?

Also how to uninstall old filter. I couldn't see it in extensions installer and when I install it now (to try get it to show so I can do an uninstall to be sure) it still doesn't show in extension manager :-/

Better is to install after, but I think that OV MPEI package has only link to filter MPEI package, so always is installed latest version. Old filter is automatically removed from extensions when new filter is installed.

But maybe something wrong happen. So, remove OV, new filter and old filter from extensions. It seems that you installed MP in default configuration. Now check:
    1. C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MPUrlSourceSplitter - this folder should not exists - if this folder exists, delete it
    2. C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\MPUrlSourceSplitter - this folder should not exists - if this folder exists, delete it
While deleting folders, MP and TV service must not be running. After this, install OV and check extensions. You should have installed OV and new filter.

So this is what I have done:

    - Cleared logs
    - Uninstalled: MePo IPTV Filter & URL Source Splitter v2.1.7.5510 using extension manager (appeared to have been successful and now removed from extension manager)
    - Uninstalled: Online Videos v1.10.0.0 (from this thread) and select 'Yes' to 'Delete settings (complete OnlineVideos cleanup)' prompt during the uninstall (which also appeared successful and now removed from extension manager)
    - MePo URL Source Splitter is not present in my extension manager list. I also unchecked only stable and only compatible to make sure it wasn't hiding. Still not present so nothing done here.

    Point 1 above:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MPUrlSourceSplitter - this folder should not exists - if this folder exists, delete it

The folder does still exist.. I stopped TVService and MePo was already closed then deleted this folder and the files.

    upload_2015-2-13_9-57-36.png

    Point 2 above:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\MPUrlSourceSplitter - this folder should not exists - if this folder exists, delete it

    This folder does not exist.

    upload_2015-2-13_10-3-7.png

Next I install OnlineVideos 1.10.0.0 using the mpe1 attached a page back in this thread from this post here. I use the default install options as below:

    upload_2015-2-13_10-6-30.png

This reports successful install and I do see the filter get installed last which is also successful as below:

    upload_2015-2-13_10-7-41.png

I now see both OV 1.10.0.0 and MePo IPTV & URL Source Splitter v2.1.7.5510 installed as below in extension manager:

    upload_2015-2-13_10-9-7.png

Fired up TVService again and went into the OV settings to configure my sites. I uncheck update sites and put 0 in the only ever hours option as instructed to prevent the sites getting updated until OV v2 is officially released. Added Amazon Prime and Youtube as a start. For Youtube I add my login details and change default quality to FullHD and touch nothing else. For Amazon I add my login details select FullHD and leave the internal player selected as default Internal (and go change my Amazon Prime account to prefer flash).

Interestingly I spot a 'Source Filter' tab in the OV config screen and take a look at that (never noticed this before) and see this message:

    upload_2015-2-13_10-21-7.png

But I decide to give Amazon a try first anyway, close the config with Close and OK then OK the MePo config and fire up MePo.

I load up Amazon Prime UK, choose a Movie (DJango Unchained) and see the dialog boxes for quality (maximum 2000kbps SD) choose the best available and after failing to buffer beyond 0% eventually I get the error about mno URL again.

    NOURL.png

So now I go grab another copy of MePo IPTV & URL Source Splitter from the Repo here and attempt to reinstall. Straight away I see the dialog saying this version is already installed as below but I go ahead and let it reinstall:

    upload_2015-2-13_10-30-9.png

It uninstalls and then reinstalls OK:

    upload_2015-2-13_10-30-57.png

Again it is visible in extension manager and still no old filter present:

    upload_2015-2-13_10-31-57.png

I fire up MePo config and then Online Videos config to check out the Source Filter tab again. Again it says it can't find the filter:

    upload_2015-2-13_10-33-50.png

Now I take logs to show the first failed Playback attempt and let you see what has been done up to this point. These are MediaPortalLogs_13_02_15__10_35.zip.

Just to be sure I fire up MePo for a second attempt at Amazon Prime UK (and also see if Youtube is fixed as I get an error attempting to enter any sub menu item of youtube). This time the movie is 12 Years A Slave and the maximum quality is again 2000kbps SD which I choose. Again the buffering starts, never gets above 0% and I get the no URL error once more:

    NOURL2.png

Youtube is also still broken. I just get the same errors:

    YOUTUBE.png

Next I take new logs you can see them in the file MediaPortalLogs_13_02_15__10_44.zip.

So you can see that it does work with the player set to Browser, I change my Amazon Prime setting to silverlight, goto the OV config through MePo config and set the player to Browser, go play a movie and then take more logs. I see now that trying to stream when remote desktop is activated is not supported. So I reboot and go play the movie again directly on the machine. The movie plays fine in Browser mode. The logs are in MediaPortalLogs_13_02_15__10_57.zip.

Fearing the Flash didn't play because of this also, I go change Amazon Prime back once again to internal player and set my settings on the Prime website to prefer Flash and go try the movie again directly on the machine. Same Problem as before, I get a no URL error after selecting the quality:

    NOURL3.png

The logs after this attempt are in MediaPortalLogs_13_02_15__11_02.zip.

So yeah, appologies for the enormous post, not trying to be patronising but I wanted you to see exactly what and how I was doing this because I think I am following all the instructions as asked, but it still is not working?

For info the other day when trying this I completely uninstalled my antivirus (Kaspersky Internet Security) so I have no antivirus at all so nothing should be stopping it.

    upload_2015-2-13_11-6-53.png

I really do not understand why Youtube is not working either. Maybe it is related? I have another client only machine in the house and that too gives the same errors on Youtube. That one is using the latest official version of OV and nothing else other than bog standard 1.9 OV and that also gives those errors on youtube.

Hope this may help with tracking down what is wrong! Thanks!

Until that point it seems good. But on screenshot you have another folder as I wrote. You have C:\ProgramData\Tem MediaPortal\MPUrlSourceSplitter (which is temp/cache folder), but you should check C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MPUrlSourceSplitter.

That's my bad, I miss read your file path. I have uninstalled the new filter again and gone to this location but nothing exists (file or folder) with that name:

    upload_2015-2-13_11-38-4.png

Reinstalled the new filter form the Repo again which is sucessful:

    upload_2015-2-13_11-39-4.png

It shows again in extensions installer:

    upload_2015-2-13_11-40-0.png

Still no folder with the name you said:

    upload_2015-2-13_11-41-26.png

Gone to play the file with Amazon and it still gives the same error.

Out of interest I did search for the folder you mentioned and I find these + other .dlls (cut of the screen shot)?

    upload_2015-2-13_11-49-5.png

Until that point it seems good. But on screenshot you have another folder as I wrote. You have C:\ProgramData\Tem MediaPortal\MPUrlSourceSplitter (which is temp/cache folder), but you should check C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MPUrlSourceSplitter.

But these files are in 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\MPUrlSourceSplitter' I see you referenced the right folder in your original post though :) so it is my mistake. Will stop TVService uninstall the new filter, delete every folder and file I can find with MPUrlSourceSplitter in it's name and then reinstall the filter and see if that works.

    Thanks.

Wow that was painful lol. So I stopped TVService, uninstalled the filter, killed every file I could find with the help of the search tool and reinstalled with TVService still stopped.

It works and plays back the flash. Now I can go back to the browser anyway because the flash doesn't have anything in HD but the problem is solved! Thanks for your persistence!

So it seems it doesn't uninstall / install correctly on my system. I have no idea why - single account machine which is Administrator etc.

The sad thing - all this hasn't done anything to fix Youtube which is just completely broken for me.
