IMON VFD not working (1 Viewer)

Just realised my VFD is no longer working - after an auto update
My version is now - 7.78.1125 and shows nothing in the display at all.

Any help appreciated...

Try an older version. Like 7.77.1022. The new one has a problem with the display

I'm so sick of imon / soundgraph !!!

I used to have problems with the VFD not working with mediaportal
Then i had problems where if I used the VFD then the remote wouldn't work
Now i have problems where the VFD works fine but i get intermittent problems with the receiver not detecting IR signals, even with the VFD off I am still getting intermittent problems with it not receiving IR signals.
So I'm gonna buy an MCE remote kit, the VFD is useless eyecandy anyway.

I have the exact same problems wether i use Old imon 7.2 or latest imon, and same problems if i replace imon with IRSS. Sometimes remote works perfectly sometimes it barely works!!! I really think imon is P.O.S. the forums are full of problems!

I can suggest you to wait at least for next 2 months, because we are waiting for a release from soundgraph... look their forum....

Are you refering to the frontview support for mediaportal?

This wont change anything for me personally because it is the IR receiver that isn't work properly, even with the display disabled, even when not using mediaportal. They have been post-poning the mediaportal display support for the last 4 months. I am gonna just throw out the remote, and use the VFD with the existing minidisplay plugin.

Sounds like a hardware issue.

As to the remote problem - have you checked the physical location of the remote sensor?
Mine was partially hidden behind the edge of the case.
A minor soldering job and the range increases 10x and the remote decided to start working!

Having said that, I was given a MCE remote kit, plugged it in, quick config from within MP, hide that HUUUUUUUGE sensor and it works

I have reverted to a previous version of the SoundCrap software and all is working again...

Which version is that? I used an old 6.xx version which had perfect support for the display. Now I have tested with 7.77 which I can not get to work at all. Since there are a problem with this one I installed 7.60 which are supposed to work but display is dead. I have iMON LCD (Silverstone GD01MX case).
