We have fixed media icons issues. E.g. added more aspect ratio images. The images are not placeholders but it were some wrong logic.

Do you say that the watched status is not synced between iViewer and Moving Pictures? Its not possible to toggle watched status in iViewer. I dont think its possible to do that through MPExtended. We are however working on adding MediaBrowser 3 as backend service and their api allow for toggling watched status.

Exactly...i can´t even figure out why a movie is set unwatched and another is shown correctly.
Refreshing the view doesn´t help.

I dont think the watched status is cached anywhere, not sure where things go wrong. Have you tested in another client, e.g, aMPDroid or WebMP?

I found a workaround to solve the unwatched issue.

I had to mark the movie in MePo as unwatched, then back to watched.
After i refresh the view in iViewer it shows the correct status.

Waiting for Update to come, does it still needs a long time?

Good that you found a workaround. That also means that it was MPExended/MePo that wasn't in sync.

It's hard to tell when we will release the update. Real life with family, work and business trips take a lot of time. We do other development as well for our own needs(lights/heating/alarm control) that won't be in the MPiV app but only in our personal versions.

We have also interest in MediaBrowser 3 in combination with MediaPortal and work on supporting MB3 as backend as an alternative to MPExtended. Benefit is e.g. that one get subtitles when streaming to device, keep watched status at user level and can resume playback at any device.

So when we release 1.2. depend on a lot of things and time is limited. You can be sure though that we do some small things almost daily.

That all make sense.

But we bought a software for real money and expect that bugfixing has a higher priority then developing for other things.
Thats my opinion.
I can imagine that the sellrate is higher for software that is bug free.

Just think about it.

Sure, bug fixes will come. When they are ready together with the features that we work on. We have already made one update and more will follow. We have done several other new features that we havent mentioned, the reason is that we dont want any pressure for releasing at a specific time. Real life dont allow for such schedules.

But please, do not bring in money into the discussion. We are not doing this for the money, we do it because we enjoy it. Even if we ignore the hundreds or thousends of hours that has been spent on developing this project and just count support hours it cant justify the spent hours versus the income.

Hi, I have a new question.

I tried to change a movie cover in iviewer, but when i delete or rename it in my MovingPictures Fanart folder it doesnt work.
Where do iviewer get this cover, full or thumb, and how to delete cache or refresh it?

You can first try to clear the MPExtended cache, in a typical installation it's placed:
C:\ProgramData\MPExtended\Cache\imagecache

Images are also cached in iViewer but this can't unfortunately not be cleared programmatically. You need to uninstall/reinstall MPiV on your iPad for clearing this cache.

I had to do both.
Clear/delete the images in MpExtended folder and uninstall and install iViewer On ipad.
I figured out that iviewer used the first cover in MovingPictures. So you have to delete all covers before so that your wanted cover is on position 1.
Didnt think that everyone knows this.

Do i need to have the streaming running, before i can use the search?
Want to search for a movie, but didnt work.
