i can do that - but will all my settings remain untouched?

BTW - what's the menu item for My Videos? I used "6" (as listed here - http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_MEDIAPORTAL_1/18_Contribute/7_Skins/Skin_Architecture/Window_IDs but clicking on the windows doenst do anything, just looks like its strying to load the xml but it actually stays in the home screen

Well, in that case your settings are gone (when doing a fresh installation). What you also can do is update all your existing plugins using the Mediaportal extensions installer, and delete unused plugins to see if MP is starting faster.

About your other question; You don't need to specify this your self in the skinfiles. Start MP -> Settings -> GUI -> Skin -> Movies plugin, and set it to my videos. Maybe it's now MovingPictures....?

indeed i took away several plugins and the MP is flying now

In regards to Videos - I already have "Movies" set to "moving pictures", I meant the "Video" part - I want to set that to "My Vidoes" as I configured in MP configuration. for some reason it isnt showing up once I click it.

so that's my only issue now

I'm having problems with Titan skin and FanartHandler.
In My TV Series plugin, there are no fanarts displayed at all, just the regular Titan background. In FanartHandler forum they said it must be an issue with the skin, since it is working fine with StreamedMP. It is working fine in MovingPictures, I get fanarts displayed for all of my movies. Any suggestions?
Also, in Basic home screen, I do not get any fanarts at all.

I didnt I am using Titan Editor and selecting the Windows ID as "6" for My Videos.

I have upgraded to 1.5 but am a bit disappointed that the bug preventing the VU meters to display in Music 'now playing' still appears not to be fixed.
This was originally going to be fixed in 1.4. If VU meters selected, a missing XML file message is displayed
