Thanks for the reply.. I kind of figured it out - however I need to try to find which channels transmit the EPG data on Hotbird.
I tried Marcopolo (which I used to use when I had a Dreambox) but that doesn't grab anything.. Also seemed to remember Alice being used at one point!
Hopefully someone knows which channels I need to be...

I have EPG data, and it all works fine, except for when I go into Search, in the TV-Guide.
When I sort on genre, the movie genre is empty. If I sort on title, there are plenty of titles, where the genre is set to movies.
None of the other genres have any problems.

Welcome to the forum! :)
Yes, you can. The way that you'd do it would depend on how you're getting your EPG. For example, if you're using XMLTV then you'd add each of the XML data files to the tvguide.lst file. XMLTV details are -->here<--.

I finally got this working :)
It seems that if I set the modulation type when manually adding ANY channel it fails to tune. If I leave it at "not set" channels tune just fine (including Freesat info awhen using the rest of the above settings).
I'm using the DVB-S part of a Hauppauge HVR 4000 BTW.

One thing I reallly miss about my built in TV EPG is that there was a function to schedule viewing (note, not recording) of TV...
I have to apologize! I checked all these "missing" channels by their SID and figured out I deleted them in TVServer channel section. So, logfile is correct and this is only overhead from other channels on same transponder or channels I never wanted in my list.

I have just checked my TV-Server, and my conclusion is that it works as it should, the way it works is "get EPG FOR these channels". If I disable all but one channel and updates the EPG, all other channels are blanked and shows no EPG info. If I check all channels and grab EPG, the info is back.
