Hi guys I have MP set up got the tv guide going and everything is working awsome but I just have one problem, how can I make it...

However, thanks to your suggestion I bought some genuine image software and reinstalled my system in stages so I now have images of the original broken state, the bare (patched) OS, bare mediaportal and mediaportal + h264 codecs.
I also took the opportunity to upgrade from 1.02 to 1.1Beta. Unforunately...

Ive spent a lot of time trying to get ad-skipping working properly on OZ tv using Comskip. Have been through a bunch of ini files...

I would strongly recommend you first upgrade from 1.1.0 alpha to 1.1.0 beta1 and maybe even apply latest SVN to see if problem still exist. Just remember that client and server should run same version.
If you still struggle after that, attach full log files from both client and server.

Try unpacking the installer file (I think 7-zip will do this) so you have separate MP and TV-server installer files - run the MP one first then TV-server.
The rendering method was changed in MP 1.0.1 onwards.

Someone on the forum has already mentioned that this is the case because the recordings are already listed in the table of the TV database. And to correct it you must manually delete the corresponding entry from the table in order for the Database Import function to see it (TV-Server Configuration -> Recording settings -> Database...
