Is there anyway to turn off the menu scrolling as a result of the position of the mouse? For mouse users, menu scrolling is much better achieved using the mouse wheel. By having the menu also scroll depending on the position of the mouse cursor it is very annoying.

I have this the other way round, all my original video mp4's are too quiet (Nero Recode known problem), but using FFDShow as audio codec throughout settings, lets me use its normalise feature, which seems to work reasonably well, plus it covers just about all audio formats, have to say been happy using it :)

I also got this a while ago and had to disable Exclusive Mode for VMR9.
Now it works like it should, without any noticeable glitches.

UPDATE:
After Upgrade my Nvida 7900gs to GeForce Release 178 WHQL
and Update my .NET Framework with SP1. I am now able to see a better picture with VMR9 & Exclusive mode, I also fixed the color issue. I made it so the application is incharge of the color and the drivers. All looks good right now. I think this is all I needed.

I suppose the hiding is activated at full screen opening but when something "in the middle" brings the desktop to front there is no automatic routine which detects this and bring back everything to full screen mode and hides the mouse.

I think that this bug should generate no logs. It is a simple bug, the code that plays the previous track fires the "end of track event" while the new track is playing.
However, if logs are needed I can post them here.

yeah i did read your first post but it really isn't that clear because it is something that is not occuring on my systems, even the xp64 one which isn't officaily supported.
I suspect it is you who is last accessing the shared folder watching a video and have mp set to go to "last used folder" when u next enter "videos"

Yes it is possible to launch MP on 2nd monitor. You have to select the screen selector in the configuration and select the correct screen. I have mine running on 2nd monitor (s-Video) and it works fine.

to get the logs just enable the watchdog in the general settings of the MP configuration
as soon as the MP crashes it will collect all the logs for you and offer you to save them - it also can restart MP after it's crashed
i'm pretty shure though that it is moving pictures for you as well, disable it and all should be well.

I just managed to get it working.
What I did was not use the Whitecap that's detected as wmp plugin but install whitecap for Winamp. Then from the winamp plugins folder copy "vis_WhiteCap.dll" to "MediaPortal\MusicPlayer\plugins\visualizations\winamp".
The only thing is that on my system the vis is kind of sluggish. Doesn't matter...

Sounds like you may not have configured the PowerScheduler Client plugin (MP config), or maybe one of the plugings in mediaportal keeping the mediaportal.exe or MP config.exe running, check taskmanager for this, as i had this happening with the MovingPictures plugin if a scan did not complete correctly (now working).
