Can I just ask are you using an MCE remote with that or an Imon remote, I tried with MCE remote and IR Server Suite was picking some things up but could not get it working with mediaportal.

when i played movies in media portal (using ffdshow tryout + Halli) the audio comes with one sec delay but whan i plays movies in other progrem like Bsplayer (Also with FFDshow Tryout+Halli) it works fine.

Well, I had to change a setting in Windows Explorer to let me change extensions. For anyone who might have this issue in the future here are some instructions:
"In Windows Explorer go to Tools/FolderOptions. Click on the View tab and if the option "Hide Extensions for Known File Types" is active, de-select it."

To reply to myself: because I have two network cards on the server, I had to configure which of the two cards "streams" content to the client. Once I changed that, the client started receiving TV. It's choppy and slower changing channels than other systems I've tried, but not too bad for RC code. Thanks.

plugged a new terratec cinergy pci hd (its a dvb-s2 card) in my very old "server" system with an AMD XP2200.

No. MP is designed to be a HTPC application, so that kind of functionality doesnt exist.
Not that I know of as MP doesnt allow mapping of the different file extensions to different players.
