Have dual card myself and have given up on the analogue side.

I'm testing it on Windows XP Pro now and i don't have any problems anymore. It seams to be a Windows MCE related problem.
However i didn't use the latest svn version on Windows MCE 2005 which i am using now on my regular Windows XP.
The distored colors remain but thats not a realy big problem as they only last for 30 seconds.

did you test video playback (avi / mpeg)?
The VIA/S3 onBoard graphic does not proper support VMR9. You should consider to spend your system a decent DX9 capable card. MP only supports VMR9 as renderer and uses DX9 technology to render its GUI.

Please disregard this problem, as I have finally fixed it!
In the end, I not only uninstalled MP through Add/Remove Programs, but I also deleted the folder. Then I installed a fresh RC3. This caused me to have to completely redo my setup, but it was worth it to get color TV back.
