My suggestion is to clone displays. Turn off "MP Fullscreen" and "MP always on top" in MP config.
Switch displays to clone and auto maximise overlay screens on the TV display.
The only downside with this is that you can't play games at the same time as watch MP. You can watch MP fullscreen on the TV and use the computer for net...

I resolved this by finding out what key sequence to use on my MCE Remote EU.
It turned out to be: press PLAY, Green-Start in sequence.

Ok, I updated to RC3, and yes my problem is (kind of) resolved.
I now use WMP10 to FFW my music. Both on MCE RemoteEU and with F6.
I can even switch to Visualizations when in the mood and not be disturbed with the constant flipping.
