Problems inside Well... Got a bit of a problem with some of the parts. The DVD Burner and gaphics card crashes inside the cabinet. The problem is that the fan of the grapichscard is aboit 1.5 cm to big... So to solve the problem I tracked down a DVD burner that is shorter than the NEC. A new Sony will solve the problem. I have also built a htpc based on the mCubed case. Read all about it on my project pages: http://htpc.lonningdal.net I have just installed the Borg 479 heatpipe cooler for the CPU and now the htpc is dead silent! :) My CPU is idling at around 41 degrees when the HD is spin down. The HD seems to be the major heat generator in the...

MP has the external display plugin, and you set that to the Hitachi 44740 (or something similar, can't remember by heart) after you install the drivers from the disks, and that's it... Btw, i also read the description of the MCE601 before buying it, and it also said silent, but still it's a bit noisy for my standards.... (i can...

The 1.5 CPU is more than enough. With a hardware encoding TV card like the PVR-150 i've seen people run MP installations on 800mhz systems - complete with DVD and DivX/XviD playback. Definatly agree on upgrading to 512MB of memory. Anything more than that - especially without any gaming - would just be under-utilized. As for...

The only thig is that i could not find a nice way to connect it all and finding a 200 watts external power supply was an impossible task too. Anyway. I just got this case and am exciting about building my HTPC, but when I put the thing on its side (what I intend to run it as), I noticed the the side where the vertical stand would go (if it was used) is unfinished. Man its fugly. I'm greatly disappointed now. Tell me that there is a metal cover in the case that I haven't found yet.
