I would love to have an optimized skin for HDTV. Much space is unused when using the normal skins. Also the OSD uses too much space...

I totally agree. But for now it's a workaround as there are no real alternatives. Maybe it's built in some time. If you are a programmer, you can get the sources and implement this feature. You can send it in, maybe it will be included then.

You can enable the plugin at the plugins-section of configuration.exe. Put a cross to "Enabled" and in which section you want it to appear.
For now, you can add a button to your MCE remote only, if you'd change /xbmc/MCE2005Remote.cs as it is hardcoded at the moment. You need other remotes if you need to configure it on your own.

You can choose an external application in Configuration.exe but you will loose MP's "power" over the played movie, i.e. small movie windows embedded in the skins, OSD, etc.
If you do that, keep an eye on the command line arguments.

I think an uninstall icon is useful. You can uninstall MP in software, but you can create also create an icon yourself. Usually it's the installer's task. :wink:

I'm missing something like that, too. When MP crashes, it can happen that the .NET debug-window is behind MP, so you don't know if it's crashed or still working. Could be useful for searching operations, internet connections or entering MyTV, for example.

Try the Winamp plugin, Winamp is IMHO way better for playing movies... It may not necessarily LOOK better though, at least without some tweaking.
If you do this, you will want to use the "Auto Fullscreen" plugin that is floating around on the Winamp forums. Be sure you are using the latest version though, the old ones don't work...
