Yes it would be nice I have thought of having this feature in the past.
The natural keys are gone though and pressing 'S' continuously will be a pain unless they change the key assignments.
Up and Down would be the natural choice here in my opinion.
I don't think the current feature - big step forward / back is well used.

Yes, but it would be nice to know if a episode is going to record because it could conlfict with another recording. Actually this brings up the concept of recording priorites which is something I'd like to see in MP. I'm acutally thinking of doing coding myself.

I've created a simple patch that makes the mouse mostly work on the OSD. You can check it out here, and hopefully frodo (or another dev wit cvs access) will pick it up and put it into the next release.
