I use wunderground.com for my US pics. You also might want to try accu-weather. Seems to me they have animated GIFs of Canadian Provences.

If I configure up a radio stream channel, that channel starts autmatically when I boot Media portal. It is displayed with a small icon down left.

I don't like to see those visualizations used from wmp. In myMusic you can turn them off by using the DirectShow audio renderer. But in MyRadio (with streams) I didn't find a way to turn the vis off.

I didn't think of the internal radio of the PVR 350, sorry. I know that for the radio streams wmp is used. And that's why there are visualizations.

You can do it already through the Radio module.
And yes you can do streaming video through this also. It's not logical but this is the interface used for streaming at the moment.
Have a look at the manual / wiki and there are some streaming links in the forum also.
