Is it possible to tweak the main menu scrolling ? it's harsh, not fluent, i'd really love the smooth home menu scrolling like MCE 2005 wich srcolls realtime each frame.
Is there a limitation in refresh rate that can be changed somewhere ?

Just use ffdshow, this is an astonishing one-for-all-codec. Beside that you just need an MPEG-2 codec (which comes with every Software-DVD-Player, MP-devs recommend 'Intervideo WinDVD6'). So no codec-messup at any time.
Or how would a mess look like, that only consists of two items? This would be a very philosophic physical question...

Mediaportal doesn't record as well as the ATI Tv recorder application. Probably because my ATI TV Wonder Pro card has hardware divx encoding that is only configured through their program.

I know and understand the argumetns of MrMario, but I think that a split into more of a server client architecture will bring flexibility to MP.
If there is a server base, it would be easier and cleaner to make frontend support...
