I like the idea, and we have discussed this yes.
But we could not find a good system yet.
We r currently still focussing on making a HTPC app.
Which means we r an app running 24/7 on a deticated HTPC.
This scenario does not really need such a service.
Now, this does not say we won't make this service.

It would be very helpfull if there was a function or shortcut which let MP jump to the startpage from whereever in the program.

I don't know were these buttons were used for? (NEXT_ITEM / PREV_ITEM) so I don't know the concequences of this but it works fine

On my DVD Writer works fine, 7~10 minutes to burn a movie.
