always close MP before standby and restart it on wakeup because of problems with my timers in mytv. but doing this i can´t use the alarm plugin (it closes with MP). would it be possible to use alarm plugin as servise so people could close mp and the alarm plugin would wake up the pc and start MP after that ..?

This would be really useful when you dont know that a conflict is happening for a future recording, and instead of losing the first few minutes, it would be very useful if MP can then adjust the padding to be 0 so you dont lose anything.

It is DVB card, so in that respect it is a hardware card. Although it the analogue input is all software (just like a regular DVB-T card if you ask me, i think you may pay more for Hauppauges HVR software).
The HVR-1300 however, has a hardware MPEG encoder on the analogue inputs. Looks like its a DVB-T/PVR-150 hybrid.

Looks like you have chosen: "Always Record at this time". This will ignore the program and will just record anything at the time you specified.
A better option is to choose "Always record this program" That means, any occurence of that program will be recorded, time doesn't matter.
