I don't know exactly what the cause of the duplicates was, but there were duplicates somehow.

Just a final update on my problem. My system has been stable now for well over a week, since installing a new LNB and cabling plus SAF v6.0 codecs.
I think i've got the problem all summed up in my mind now. I had a faulty LNB causing bad signal, i also had 'dodgy' PowerDVD 10 codecs so it seems (i won't say where i got them...)...

First post & managed to set-up mediaportal & can view TV in that but the TV server configuration wont show the XBMC...
Just to calm you down, your old watch status was not altered in any way in the database. Old watched status was based on
1. stop and resume data for videos not in the database (not scanned by IMDB command)
and
2. watched flag for videos in the database (scanned by IMDB command).
Case 1 during upgrade was not set as watched...

I don't think the installation went smoothly if MP is crashing on launch - something is seriously wrong. What happens if you try to launch MP in debug mode (option 1 in the watchdog tool - start menu --> Team MediaPortal folder -> Debug Mode) - is that what you did to produce the logs?
