I'm hoping someone might have some quick answers for what are probably fairly basic questions (though after a full day of experimenting with the config and reading the FAQs, I've still not found the solutions).

Porky- Thanks for you response. My ultimate goal is to have 1 media hub for all of my media devices. I don't want 1 cable box so that I don't have to pay for 3 box's and 3 dvr fees each month. A new piece of evidence makes this "curioser" than I expected! I tried to work around this by exporting the channel information, editing the XML file and importing the groups from the edited XML. Apparently, MP rejects the group name "CH", but gives no indication of this.

In case anyone wonders later, long story short I resolved this by a combination of deleting/removing my MovingPictures database and clearing out my MovingPictures thumbs/coverart/fanart etc directories. I am in the progress of redownloading fanart/details now with IMDB+ and resetting watched flags (argh) but at least it is working...

No plugins that I know of, however m3u files can be edited in any text editor. You should be able to use the find/replace function which is available in even the simplest editors like notepad to fix all the paths in a few seconds.
