If I watch for a while then hit back arrow always comes up with "Start" as though there is no buffer.

I can confirm and I already reported to gibman earlier. I can also confirm that it is now FIXED and i can see that he revertet something in SVN26845 that has fixed the issue :)

Sure, that would work. But it wouldn't work if I want the htpc to shut down automatically only if it is in home screen. And that would also not fix the problem that it goes into away mode when an application like firefox is running.
For me this behavior doesn't sound like it...

The fixes that Andy submitted recently (viewport-issue and addition of masking in thumbnails and filmstrip) have cured the issue for me. So...this should be fixed whenever 1.2.0 Beta is released. Or in recent SVN versions.

I just updated from MP 1.1.1 to MP 1.2.0 alpha. I have following behavior.
PowerScheduler Plugin is enabled in TV and MP configuration.
Mediaportal is not started.
TV-Server Configuration - Power Scheduler "Shutdown server after being idle" is deselected but system goes into standby after 5 min.
If I change time to 240 min...

Was happy to test the Alpha, but I've gone back to 1.1.1 as this was starting to get pretty annoying. Still looking forward to 1.2 :)

I think everything is working now, all I did was that I removed everything about epg in powerscheduler except "Prevent standby when grabbing EPG".
Will see if it works tomorrow too.

I would like to report a minor issue with the weather icon. I reported a similar problem and it was fixed:
