Your PC probably isnt powerful enough to handle HD decoding. Have you tried the Microsoft DTV decoder as your codec? Also download and try a codec called CoreAVC (it costs, but has a trial). If that cant play it smoothly then im afraid your only option is a new CPU/Motherboard or new graphics card.
