I have now give up the Idea with vista MCE and tries to get mediaportal working with my dual TT 3200 with cams. I get all channels except the HDTV channels. As far as I can say for now the only valid one.
Without name resolution or at least an entry in the hosts file you will always get

Looks like that's it... I created a dummy tv channel (not mapped to any card) and it then appeared when I picked the map option. My channels in the xml file were then available to map to.

That is the problem with bespoke software from the manufacturer, it usualy has work arounds for weak/poor/buggy initial drivers.

I would also say that it sounds like its overheating! Check your BIOS settings - it will have a "Safe" temperature, and a setting on when to turn off the PC (e.g. when temp reaches 70degC)
