This skin is fantastic. It's easier to use (then Aeon (1)) and has really nice and smooth animations without them delaying the experience. I'm using the skin for my XBOX (with a modified texture pack for a PAL 16:9 tv) and on my Linux machine in full HD. In both cases the skin looks absolutely stunning.

Well, I was bored today so I started playing around. 1080p is way to much work, but...

    ... it's portable.

    I did today...
    Here's what he said...

    Hi djh_

I was one of the guys over at MediaPortal that was working on the original port of Aeon. Fantastic work on Aeon Stark!

I read the thread regarding some problems you had over a MeediOS, and I was hoping to avoid that again. You've done some amazing work with your latest incarnation of Aeon.

Basically I just wanted to know what your stand is regarding porting Aeon Stark over to MediaPortal? I'd like to have a go at it but didn't want to step on your toes...

It's purely a port as close a possible as I can get given the current limitations of MediaPortal's skin engine. I don't intend to take any credit for the concept of graphics.

I'd like to hear your reply.

Kind Regards (and keep up the good work)

Go right ahead. Now it's out you can do what you like with it.

Well, except pass it off as your own work, of course. Not that anyone would do a thing like that... ???

    Thanks a lot djh_.

As I said I have no intention of passing it off as my own work , merely porting it .

    Thanks again!

Nice! I am glad to hear that there is some hope for a good working port.

I wonder what limitations our skin engine might have. I have noticed that scrolling through xbmc is just smoother...
But I am questioning things like the live movement of that bar across the middle that can be relocated down by hitting your down arrow. Not that it is a huge thing that I would like to have ported, just kinda curious to see the limitations.

So you are really gonna do this port, PR?
    And in 1920x1080? (Pretty please)

Perhaps you can use some of the XML's from existing skins, like B&W, to save some time/cut some corners...

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

Thanks for ALL the assistance, Pablick! (and others who chimed-in) With all the attempts and edits, my drive (and brain) became massively cluttered and a little wonkey. I started from scratch, with a full uninstall of Media Portal components on my Backup machine. I let my insecurities manifest (I'm not proud of it :) ), and I...
