I have the same problem. In my logs, however, I get a few lines like '12-11-2006 15:20:13 *** DecodeShortEventDescriptor: check2: 133 173' which implies to me that an event description (i.e. EPG data) was found - but the relevant table in the database remains empty nonetheless.

The electronic program guides (tvguide.xml) have been successfully transferred to MediaPortal.
