Hello, I have exactly the same problem with my MP installation (latest CVS): when I exit fullscreen I still got MediaPortal displayed on top of everything else.
I do believe this bug is related to "exclusive mode", but if I turn it off I got tearing during video playback.
I saw this in the changelog...

hi :) when Im in the music player i can see the viz effects in a square at left bottom. however i cant get to put them fullscreen...
I find that alt-f4 works to close media portal in quite a lot of circumstances where it has become non responsive or the display is corrupted/blanked. Turning off 'force hide taskbar' and 'keep on top' in settings I would also recommend highly 8)

I use the nVidia decoder. It dosnt seem to show an icon in the systray when playing dvr-ms or whatever. But graphedit reveals that it is using that codec. I tried to install the ac3 filter with a filter manager. It told me I was sucsessful. Still could not find the filter in MP.

ok i went out and got the trail version - it seems to be better quality and my audio sync issues appear to have gone, will have to do some more testing to confirm that - but so far the nvidia appears to be the one to use.

Works very well with zoomplayer, but not with mediaportal. I think it is a version issue as you mention quit old versions in this thread.

try changing the codec you are using. i have this issue on some of the codecs - managed to get it to work fine with "intervideo non css" codec, but the rest give me black screen like you get - if sound is ok you can leave that just change the video codec. takes some attempts to find one that works correctly.....

This is a bit confusing, but there are two different Elecard MPEG2 decoders avaliable, only one of them works to compress to XviD. I haven't got around to trying the right one myself so I can't confirm that it works, but have a look at this thread.

Seems all iget is a black screen when i try to play these video files. I can play them easily in media player 10 no problems...
I have some inside information regarding the World Cup and Boxer.
Boxer will probably not broadcast the World Cup in HDTV, their argument is that there aren't any receivers that can handle HDTV/MPEG4 - which of course isn't true.

I played around with it some more, and found that changing the video codec to dscaler, then back to cyberlink, fixed the problem. Very odd.

Hey all, I'm having problems playing videos in RC3. I had no problem with RC2, but now that the only choice I have is vmr9 it...
It works :) I got some help on IRC, and was told that only mpeg2-codecs should show up here. The other ones should work if files played in WMP. I was unlucky, and the file I tested with needed another codec ;)
