.vob are not all to be played (some are)...
There is no such thing as a vob codec.
You should probably have all the DVD files in the proper folder (VIDEO_TS) for the program to play them as a DVD.

Did i need a .vob codec. I put .Vob in the extensions and i can see it but when i go to play it it flashes and stops before it can...
Freezeing and crashing are all features of Media Portal :)
Maybe someone will be nice to try and help you out. The last build of MP was a nightmare for me. Nothing but stutter locks and cold reeboots. Its lot beter now but still needs plenty or work.

DVD's pley fine with my MP installation i.c.w. PowerDVD6, so I have a working MPEG2 codec installed.

Finaly got it working. Uninstalled lot sof codecs and reinstall and tried the file in MP. Finaly worked.
Funny thing though it plays in MP Classic now. And uses FDDSHOW. But and the two video and Audio tabs come up in the taskbar. Thing is when i play the video file wiht MP in windowed mode the two icons do not apear in the taskbar...

It played them when i installed it. But now nope. The clean format and reinstall did fix my .VOb and .TS and >TP video file playing...
