I fixed it.
I chose advanced tuning again, and put in where the channels that I was missing should be, after that a chose download transponderlist. After that MP did a channel scan and then the missing channels showed up!

OK first part is fixed. I uninstalled everything to do with MP and reinstalled and finally got FFDshow in the drop downs and selected them. But I am still having the other issues. The most aggravating of which is the .avi freezing. Any Ideas? Bad guesses? Hunches? What have you?

I've upgraded to 1.0.1 and the interface (which was set to Hebrew) is not working well.
All the hebrew titles is written in LTR...
It started working properly for no reason, and now it has gone back to not working. I don't believe it to be a problem with MP though. Hard to figure out. :(

Not sure what format it uses, but i think it saves it as an xml file doesn't it
Try Moving Pictures, then tell it to look at the xml extension to work out the imdb reference.

Running the latest version of Media Portal, trying to have the guide show me more than three hours ahead on any given day, and...
Problem was caused by upgrading to a new advanced format drive, copying over my system image to the new drive.
This causes a partition alignment problem and associated performance problems with the disk.
Solution was to run the WD Align utility on the misaligned drive. Haven't seen any errors since.

I've just installed my ati650 on a fresh new computer and yet still I can not get media portal to detect the tuner card at all...
Use the same login sa, password "MediaPortal", then go to the tv.db and right click and select drop\delete database, its best to shut down tvservice whilst doing this (task manager).
Reboot and you should then be able t configure everything a new, without any problems from the old card arising.
