Sure does work with Win7, even has a seperate x64 codec installer, just in case someone actually wants to use the x64 Windows Media Player.
As far as auto setup, your right, very little should be done by the user, mainly the audio output would need to be set for your own needs.

I'm currently using StreamedMP skin and if I select Hibernate from the shutdown menu, when the PC wakes back up, MP is not loaded and I have to manually load it using the desktop shortcut.
Surely MP should stay loaded or automatically re-load after resuming from hibernate, so what am I doing wrong?

Personally I think the whole channel configuration part of the setup is unwieldy. I'm contemplating better ways to do it. I may come up with a plugin that you can use instead as it can literally take hours to setup the combinations especially if you have two...

I have the same problem when I switch off...
Since you failed at giving system specs away (:D), I'm guessing you're using W7.
If so, you can also delay startup of MP w/30 sec (although using a picture - ie a logo) is much smoother.
