It's now January of 2007 and the ATi X1300 cards I have (I bought 2) both are still working fine with ATITool set to overclock them when it detects 3D use.
Do not expect to use less than an X1600 card for H.264 playback though.

You can pick up some cheap remote extenders off ebay, or pay an arm and a leg for them at RadioShack or similar. Look for pyramids: one as a receiver, another placed within line-of-sight of the original IR receiver. I don't know their exact range, but unless you live in a mansion, they should reach.

Ive removed the 5 1/4 bay bay (got so much extra space)
Removed the gan grill at the back and moved the fan at the back to the outside of the case(got a bit more space)
Replaced all the other fans with silent ones(even the psu)
Then i found out that two silent fans are not able to keep the cpu cool so now i cant turn it on with...

You need a little program called "Powerstrip."

I have, as mentioned above, exchanged the PSU fan (the new Nexus is mounted on the outsiede and is much quieter).
Problem is the CPU fan. I'm controlling it with SpeedFan, but when RPS<2000 an alarm goes of - and nothing to do about it in BIOS, either.
