I've just upgraded from RC2 to RC3. On the whole it went fairly smoothly, except i can't find anywhere to point the EPG to my XML file that I download (via IceTV here in Australia). In RC2, I just configured the EPG to point to the XML location and ensured the channel names matched.... that was it.

I need a Proxy to conect to Internet. But during the instalation he needs to conect, but he say, the internet explorer...
Fix is now in SVN so you can:
1. Compile yourself a complete package and use it for installing.
2. Install manually MP and TVS and then update to upcoming SVN build ( due on Friday as usual ).

Yeah thanks. I took the notes to mean I might get an install error (which was correct!) but thought it was worth a crack, rather than uninstalling and loosing my setup (as for RC2 which I did install cleanly). I have now read the manual page and understand a bit more about retaining setting between installs.

Hmm, I loaded up the log collector tool, did step 1, ran MP with step 2 and it loaded right up without a problem.
I deleted my shortcut and made a new one and ran it from that without the tool and it loaded up fine.
Maybe step 1 of the log collector tool fixed it? /shrug

Well... after some problems with card ids in RC2 and RC3, and some "directory not found" errors for recording and timeshifting folders, it did the trick.
