I know that when you initially install MediaPortal, you can have it scan for TV and radio stations. But is there a way to do it later, when you didn't do it during the install? I've searched the options, and haven't found anything.

OK: I have sorted this out and it works a treat. I just used the standard Optus D1 tpl file that came with MP and used these settings:

With these i can get all the NZ freeview channels. It is now working!
