General talk regarding our HTPC-software MediaPortal 1 takes place here.
I recently had some issues on my channels where they had moved, so deleted all and rescanned, resolving the issues. However this has now left my recorded tv screen showing unknown channel against each recording.
Can I manually change this and fix for each of the recordings?

I can confirm that we don't support the easy capure usb right now. With a little luck, it may be supported in MP 1.3.0, however that is obviously no good to you right now.

On the server I installed MPWebStream according to the instructions from that thread and forwarded the Cassini port to the server at my router (port 8080 by default).
On the client simply go to http://your-wan-ip:8080, right click the link for the transcoding you like, copy the shortcut and paste to VLC's Open Network Stream.

I think TBS are aware of this - the info about interactions with other cards came from their forum site. I suspect however that since users end up working around the problem (remove the other card) there does not appear to be any action. However its worth jogging them.

Just to confirm: BigBoyDale was indeed missing software encoders. The thread pointed to by spachti could definitely have been helpful. MediaPortal requires you to have software encoders (for analog cards that don't have hardware encoders) - without them timeshifting and recording are not possible. You can read more about that...
