Nero are most probably blocking the use of their decoders, the same now applies to the likes of Cyberlink PowerDVD9 codecs.

Check out the MCE Standby tool (http://slicksolutions.eu/mst.shtml). Should allow you to enable S3 standby at initial install, (or configure later on the "Sleep State" tab).
