Although I have already faced a lot of challenges in setting up MP
this was a hard one. It took me so long to get it working that...
here's a tip i learn, connecting my dvr to my HDTV via a DVI to HDMI cable, works great, but when you turn off your tv and turn it back on. you can not get the MP display back on the HDMI channel.
My work around for this was to set windows on my dvr to turn off moniter after 1 minute, that way when i finish watching tv, i turn off...

The cable mentioned here does not work with nVidia cards. Those cards do not deliver the needed synch-signals (sync on green or composite-sync). Additional hardware and wiring is needed for nVidia cards:

Just to inform you that I have superb results using a Trust Televiewer v1 with RGB scart output when connecting to a TV...
Some things such as the default time before killing non-responding apps at shutdown can cause problems. Generally 10 seconds is fine but I wouldnt go lower, because a lot of settings wont be saved properly on shutdown.
Its obviously preSP2 as well as their method for disabling WFP wont work anymore.
