OnlineVideos 1.6.1.0 [2013/05/01] (4 Viewers)

Hi offbyone. I got DR NU working on an XP machine (sort of), but whenever I play a stream, it lags a lot, and I think it's because of MPUrlSource.log being filled with a lot of this:

Is this normal?

Not sure if this was caused by OV or something else (maybe TSreader 1.2.2?) but I accidentally tried to play something whilst it was downloading, which failed of course. As is normal when playing something in OV, it stopped LiveTV which was playing at the time. What's wierd is that LiveTV suddenly came back on again all by itself several minutes later.

I also tried the "Queued" download to start two episodes of The Killing from iPlayer, but it still gave an error "Unable to download" when the first one finished and it tried to start the second.

I updated .33.0.1 to 1.0.0.0, with no changes to the config. Now I get "no URL" message whenever I try to play or download a selected video. Does not matter which site I go to. Auto-update seemed to go well.

Watchdog logs attached.

when installing, did you uncheck anything? Especially the "MediaPortal Url Source Filter" is required and the log says it cannot find it.

I did not uncheck anything.

Should I uninstall then repeat again?, I think I've done that twice already.

Sounds like you are one of the unlucky ones where the registration of the filter fails I had reports of this before, but we couldn't yet figure out the conditions under which this fails.

Can you try to "regsvr32" the ax file manually (as admin)? It is in the MP install dir subfolder "MPUrlSource".

Hi.
If you have SAF installed you should be able to register any *.AX file just by 2x click on it.

Thank you very much! Grateful for the UK on demand TV channels.

Is there any way of setting a default source stream instead of having the pop-up coming up so it is automatically streamed. Does this option exist? If not then maybe set default by dimensions or Kbps? If source is not available then source selection pops up.

EDIT - Problem with playing BBC HD - 720p stream

This problem occurred in the previous version of onlinevideos and I have tried on many 720 streams and on different days. In BBC HD, I go to masterchef and select any of the two videos available there. I select the 720 stream, either Akami or Limelight and MP hangs after it buffers 2.0%

The progress bar is visible in the middle of the screen, stopped. When I then press stop on the remote, I get the Win7 media portal has stopped working and MP crashes out. This is repeatable.


EDIT2 - I have put in a proper bug report with full logs.
