You are missing a rather critical piece of information, which is the exact version of Mediaportal you have installed. We had a bug in the Normal zoom a short while back (caused by none other than yours truly). If im reading the logs correct you are using 0.2.2.0 without any SVN patches, is that correct?

The problem is that when I edit channel frequency there (in the MP setup) nothing happens. When I edit records in the "channel" table in the TVDatabaseV21 nothing happens too. In windowed mode the tv works fine, I can switch it on and off as much as a like. If i select OPTIONS/FULLSCREEN it crashes down... So I have to switch the TV off before I switch to FULLSCREEN. Sometimes I forget that and that it is really annoying.

The files won't play with MP or WMP. Good files play OK with both packages. Which brings me to the conclusion something must be changed in the dvr-ms file when it is "cleaned up"

Hi,
The best is to do a clean one, not keeping anything. However you can try to uninstall MP & install the new one without deleting MediaPortal dir & check if it works ok. If it doesn't you have to delete MediaPortal dir & use the repair MP, this will install a fresh one again.
PS! Don't make any bug reports before you have tried...
