I noticed in media portal that when watching a video or movie, whenever I change the volume using my remote I get a nice little OSD...
Only through My Videos...and you can configure MediaPortal to autoplay the DVD from any screen - you first need to disable Windows Autoplay, though.

I can see a lot of thread on issues with Satellite cards. I have a Terratec Cinergy 1200-S and that is a nightmare. Disecq does not work at all and MP finds signal from the card once in a blue moon.
Can somebody indicate references of a card that provide Disecq support + stable quality with MP ?

Sorry but a memory and graphic card upgrade would be a really nice improvement on the overall MP experience, and may well solve your locking up on the TV side.

1. i solved the FSK Problem today. With an update of the Alphacrypt Light Modul to the newest version you can disable the FSK check. Now only FSK18+ ist requested; but this is only (as far as i saw till today) on Blue Movie [in which i'm not interested anyway] :-)
But would be better anyway if MP could popup with a PIN-Box...
