not a bug - my setup problem
Turns out that it was the remote setup that I hadn't configured correctly - I use 1 PC but via KVM the output up to my LCD TV in the kichen (this uses he Hauppage receiver and remote) - on the PC itself in the office I use a microsoft remote and receiver - in RC3 you didn't need to bother with remote...

you can change all the satimages in configuration --> weather --> select the city from list --> edit

Unless its changed since 0130, I kept a copy and formatted, it doesnt use the registry (for MP settings, not sure about codec). Copying the MP directory and the putting back on a fresh install everything was retained.

Depends what type of card, as software cards can have it because of them not being configured properly. For other cards I havent read any problems like that.
