Hi Sorry if this is a very stupid question, but I am a bit new to this! I'm lookig at building my first HTPC wanting to replace my UK Series 1 Tivo. I'm going to be looking at a DVB-T setup and want to run twin tuners (my main driver for changing from Tivo). I'm trying to understand the pros and cons of internal and external...

Don't accept the substitution and don't deal with anyone that would do that without asking in advance. Many 9550se's are fanless but they are slower than the 9600se. If the seller doesn't issue a refund right away don't wait to call your credit card company to dispute the charge. Odds are if they will send you something you...

I really disagree with the p4 2.4ghz comment. My MP runs excellent with my config (see sig). Also if you do a search, there are many people running it on an Epia (the soldered on chips).

Actually the XC Cube has 5.1 sound. For digital output there is a SPIDF output on the front and a coaxial output on the back, for 3.5 inch the line and mike in jacks double as surround out and center/sub woofer out. So all you need is a AGP card which has a s-video out contact. Cheers Glen

I was real close to purchase the Nova-T when I realize it doesn't have any analog input. This would be bad since I'd like to continue to import old movies from vcr. Than I've seen that Lifeview DVB-T has analog Svideo input and is almost working perfectly with MP, is that confirmed? To you that own the Lifeview, did anybody...

If its a non-oem i believe it should come with a remote, but you should check with the shop you buy it from first. MP yes. I think someone was working on a plugin like this? Yep Depends on the remote entirely, seems the easiest way to go is the actual MCE2005 remote which has built in support. Could look in other...

If I go for a PVR-350 I understand...

Maybe software based cards do, but AFAIK all MPEG2, MCE and BDA cards don't need the external audio connection. Just buy the cheapest Hauppauge, the 150MCE (50-60 $/Euro) and you're set to go, or take the 500MCE and you have a dual tuner setup...
