Regarding the calendar plugin - look here.

I've been searching around a little bit - seems as if MediaPortal has always recorded in DVR-MS (correct me if I'm wrong). But nevertheless, since MP uses MPEG2 now, recording one show into two files for the "overlapping time" should be possible...

maybe it's a good thing for some people out there those only have one sat-cable but want to record on different frequencies/transponders. (some SAT-Receivers have this option (Topfield TF5000PVR))
Maybe the TV-Service could be modified for that.

I recognised, that al lot of TV series have a +/-...

I can't find the function to lock the tuner on a specific frequency under the tv server configuration panels. It could be a good tool to check the signal when you try to tune an antenna (DVB-T) to get the best signal.
Is that improvement suggestion already existing?

I think the windows screen saver should work fine. I don't actaully use a screen saver but if you want the screensaver to kick in when MediaPortal decides to blank the screen then you could use this little plugin I just whipped up. Don't know if it is really of any use, but hey, if it does what you want, great. Just put the dll...

Since it probably is difficult letting Windows own screensavers 'take over' when idle time runs out, why not a plugin or something...
