I've done a reinstall of Windows since this post and am running 1.2.2 and this problem persists. It's been sitting in the same place for close to an hour (see screenshot) and appears to be stuck. As far as I know, playlist are only shuffled on load (depending on setting in MP Configuration) or when you select the shuffle button in GUI.
