That's mostly what I use it for - I prefer real buttons on a remote for day-to-day use (I use a PS3 Bluetooth remote via EventGhost), but it's perfect as a backup to that. There is a (paid for) MediaPortal remote add-on for it as well.

I figured that it's a P ;)
The underlying challenge is to have a variable at level 1 from which sub modules get called. Indeed the subroutine would not know the value that was defined one level higher, yet other programming language allow the definition of global values.
I have tried

If they make it, they need to have something like power scheduler. I don't want to have a PC Always-On. Waste of Electricity.
In the video they mentioned other options, so using an HTPC might not be the best option.

I haven't seen any "special offers" from Ice". $37 seems a lot more reasonable...
Anyway, I have now managed to get MP running with the b/i schedule (thanks to mm1352000), so I'll see how I go with that guide, but I'll certainly look out for a "special". Thanks for your suggestions.

This may seem like an odd request, but if you have a Sumvision Cyclone Micro 4 Media Player, can you tell me whether it responds to a ping? The Micro 4 has a network socket, and I think that it can be assigned a static IP address, but that does not automatically mean that it will respond to a ping.
I have a Sony TV with a network...

I need to do something like this. Currently I have a Cronjob running, which turns on cam hourly in the nighttime. Thats good enough for me.
And I have another cronjob, that turns the cam off in the morning. But thats not really good. For example: when we are in vacation, I want the cam to stay activated. Is there a way to do this in...

I got Windows 10 running on 9 years old build based on AOpen i975Xa-YDG motherboard and an Intel T7000 2Ghz.
Thought it was 10 years old but it looks like both mobo and cpu are from 2006, still it's a 64bits architecture :)

Is it me or that Build 10074 is starting to look really good? :)
Seems quite usable compare to the previous build I had.

Does anyone know if it is possible to report the x/y coordinates of the currently selected control to an outside application?
In my case, I would like to send the x/y coordinates of the selected item in the EPG or GUI to an Autohotkey script. (I am working on a way of interfacing my Airmouse & Remote Control and need to tell the...

Hi All,
I have been using the Raspberry Pi (credit card sized single board computer) for a while now, and stumbled upon >this<.
Could this Pi&Bash>_ device be used as a remote control device, or something similar to the LCD on the front of the HTPC case, but remotely positioned somewhere e.g. next the the arm chair on on the wall in...

Ok - so to use xbmc as frontend I need to go with ffmpeg - not tsreader? And ffmpeg is viable on other platforms than atv2?
So one solution could be to change the hardware (atv2 to maybe a nuc?) to be able to keep xbmc?

Quality settings are under the delivery tab and the remote tab (content delivery).
Servioo doesn't launch more than 1x ffmpeg process if I launch sequential files. It does keep the last process going (according to a search of the forums this is by design, not a 'bug'), I assume it's so that you can easily resume and might also help...
