The checkboxes were never meant for you to add or remove sites. Remove them with the x button above and add them by importing from the global list (also button above). Or use the SiteManager from within MediaPortal (from the button on the hidden menu).

Hi offbyeone,
I just updated to 1.2.0.0 and noticed some mp4 videos will not play. I get an error saying: Unable to play *filename*.mp4
It seems to be something to do with VMR9...
I didnt come across this error on the previous version of OV or LAVFilters.

You can see MelindaGates_2012X-480p.mp4 plays without an error. However, the video after (DavidGallo_2007-480p.mp4) does not play and errors out with 'Failed to render file'

The first portion is when i play MelindaGates_2012X-480p.mp4. Then when i try to watch DavidGallo_2007-480p.mp4 is seems to error out with VMR9: Pin: 0 not connected: 80040209? Im not sure if it should be using VMR9 as my renderer is set to EVR?

Things i have tried:
-Tested TED videos. Only seems to happen with these. Some play.. some don't. All are mp4.
-Removed LAV filters and reinstalled.
-Checked OnlineVideos.log. The error after trying to play the video is: Failed to render file -> No video renderer connected
-Downloaded the problematic video on HTPC (using link from logs) and played fine through WMP.
-Video renderer is EVR
-Running MediaPortal v1.2.2.0 on Windows 7 x64.
-Skin is StreamedMP 1.7.5.3066.

Let me know if you require the full logs.

Did you set LAV video and Audio as preferred codecs in the Codecs section on the video tab in MP config?
Please also:
a) set log verbosity to Debug in MP config
b) attach the logfiles, not paste them inline

All my video/audio decoders are set to ffdshow. Do you suggest changing all of them to LAV, or just one in particular? Wouldn't this affect playback for tv shows/movies as well?

Hi, just a quick question regarding skinning. The Wiki at your Google Code site says:

The listcontrol of the facade needs to set the PinIcon? width, height and offset, because it is used to indicate a favorited category.
The icon shown for each site in the facade can be overridden by the skin if a png in [CurrentSkinFolder]\Media\OnlineVideos\Icons\ is found. The same goes for the site's banner ([CurrentSkinFolder]\Media\OnlineVideos\Banners\).

I do not have an folder in Media called OnlineVideos, yet a yellow star icon is show at my favorites.
1. Where does this come from?
2. What name should the icon in "[CurrentSkinFolder]\Media\OnlineVideos\Icons\" have, if it should replace the yellow star?

If I remember correctly, the pin icon that is set, is the same as for the favorites sites. So it would be "Favorites.png" by default. But I might have done something wrong in the code, that it is using the translated name of Favorites

Edit: or "Favorite.png"

Hi offbyone,
Did you have any luck with the 'No video renderer' error above?
I set all the Video codecs to LAV Decoder (there was no option for LAV Audio under Audio renderer) and tried the same video and recieved the same error.

Hi,
I have been having problems with OV since v1.00 the version before was good.
I've just installed OV 1.02, SAF v6.09, LAV Filters 0.51 and i have set MP config videotab to LAV filters as suggested here.
Every time i try to play a video (you tube) there is a 1-2 minutes start time followed by 50-60% buffering before another delay and then eventually play. This happens with ALL the file types mp4, flv, webm,mov....
Also with IMDB and Apple trailers the same sequence of events.
I have tried reinstalling older OV versions also LAV filters and using older versions of SAF and it doesn't change
I have tried to recreate the problems in Blue wide and have attached the latest log, i hope you can help, and although OV or MP doesn't crash it is just too slow to enjoy it.

I am sure I stated it before, but if you guys don't learn to attach all logfiles (especially MPUrlSourceSplitter.log and MediaPortal.log) as well, we will not even look at your problems - as we cannot find all relevant information.

I have the exact same problem as stevied20. Started with me to at OV 1.0.
My setup:
Windows 7 x86
SAF v6.09
OnlineVideos 1.2.0.0
MediaPortal 1.2.3
100/10 Mbit/s Internet connection

The even stranger thing is that it usually work like it should a few days after every new version of OV. Start buffering immediately and starts the video at 2%.
It work after I updated to OV 1.2.0.0 a few days ago but back to slow as hell :/ yesterday. I have not installed anything or changed anything during this time not even Windows Updates.

It doesn't seem to matter how long the video is. In the logs provided I first play a video that 2 min long then a 23 min long video.
For the 2 min long video it took 30 sec before it started buffering, 25 for the 23 min long.
It took 45 sec before the 2 min video started and 40 for the 23 min long video.

Then it took about 10 sec for each video to exit after I pressed the stop button.
Jumping around (ex +15 secs) in the already buffered space of the video takes almost 10 sec per jump.
No problems with this in the rest of MediaPortal.

These times is among the fastest, usually it takes longer but. I have videos that buffers up to 50-60%. I have even had videos that had sat at 100% buffered for 10 sec before playing.

Reinstalling does not help. I only worked for a few days when I went from 1.0 to 1.1 and 1.1 to 1.2. Reinstall 1.2 does nothing unfortunately :/
