Do you have fin for subtitlelanguages, and does podnapisi has the finnish ones? Because, if your preferred language(s) are not found, it will default to the first language returned by the subtitledownloader plugin.

Edit: did some digging, and it seems that, somehow, only english subtitles are requested.

Added subtitle support to watch-series.
Do an update of the site, install https://www.team-mediaportal.com/extensions/movies-videos/subtitledownloader, in the onlinevideos config select watch-series, and fill subtitlesource with one of the subtitlesources supported by the subtitledownloader (remember: it's case-sensitive), and optionally subtitlelanguages.

I've only tested with bierdopje, so there may be some issues left.

Sounds very nice! Can you explain what I have to fill in? By subtitle source, just "Bierdopje"? Or something else.. And on language just Dutch? That's not working here, so I hope you can tell me what I need to do!

Just Bierdopje will suffice. Optionally you can enter languages like dut;eng;fre.
If that doesn't work I need the onlinevideos.log to get what is going wrong

Hi,

I really like this plugin, but to select the video format, everytime I want to start a stream is very annoying. Would be possible to add an option to auto select the highest quality? I always want to see a video with the best quality, so I always have to manually scroll down the list and select 1080p (mp4) or 720p (mp4). Also if there is only SD quality, I want to autoselect the best quality of the given video resolutions.

a) This has to be done per Site.
b) Press PLAY (P) instead of ENTER on a clip and will autoplay a preferred quality, if the site supports that
c) For Youtube (judging from your format description), press F9 while focus on the site Youtube in the list of sites and you can configure a preferred format

Is this the same setting like with the Plugin Configuration Tool which can be opend with the MediaPortal Configuration Tool? If yes, then I was only able to set the prefered quality for just a few sites, but not for those I want to watch.

As I said, it would be really cool, if the plugin could determine the best quality and autoselects it. For each stream a list of available qualities is shown, so the info is there. You just need to parse this list and search for the highest resolution

If you think it is really that easy, the source is freely available...
Like I said this has to be done per site, and only few have added this feature, still you can press PLAY to directly play the video without a dialog.

Finished! Can't believe I've overlooked that option

Now it almost works. I get the subtitles, but for some reason skandinavian letters are not shown (ä, ö, å). Instead of the correct letter a square symbol is shown. I don't have this problem with subtitles downloaded via SubCentral.
