Not sure about that, don't have the sourcecode atm, but what I do remember is that offbyone also reads the file, and put it in a string. Probably the player expects it in a string instead of a file.

If I put it in a file, then the player has to do the guessing right?

Yeah I think it would be much more better solution to just point to a file and leave it to player to figure it out. However I don't know if OnlineVideos has some restrictions that prevents this solution...

EDIT: Not sure if you are using this one OnlineVideos/VideoInfo.cs but it seems to have SubtitleUrl property where you could try setting something like "file://C:\path\to\subtitle\file.sub

At first glance, they seem to have changed their site a bit. Will fix this asap. (probably tomorrow)

Hardwareinfo is fixed (including some errors in the next pages).

On a sidenote: Has anyone troubles with the onlinevideos repository http://code.google.com/p/mp-onlinevideos2/ ? The last commit on that seems from 2 years ago...
