I've installed MediaPortal SVN-Snapshot:-03-07-2009 01-58h - Revision:21864.rar and have TvService crashing as soon as "EPG grabbing while idle" is enabled.

Problem Fixed !
MP/TV-server 1.0.1 appears to have fixed the problem - TV-server now deletes old/dead timeshift files as it runs, so they don't keep multiplying.
Thanks to all the devs for fixing this problem.

Have rechecked system. It now works flawlessly just as ronilse and geov indicate.
Maybe various codec swapping/comparisons had made my system unstable???????. ffdshow was involved.

I come back to this old post, as I finally converted my 48 KHz pure DTS files to DTSWAV files...but no success... so BASS Player is definetly not compatible with 48KHz digital content... :( I can upload a sample if needed...

There seems to be 2 problems, one seems to be your cam settings, the other was a D3D error (directx)
Make sure you have video memory set to 256mb in the BIOS

Seems I spoke too soon. The same problem's just happened with the default tsreader.ax. It also causes the MP interface to become non-responsive.
I'm going to try moving my timeshift folder from RAMdisk to hard-drive. If that doesn't stop the problem happening, I'll try the latest SVN and failing that, revert to 21720, which didn't...

I have something similar, no motor dish, but the settings to wait for scrambled channels and/or time shift after RC3 or RC4 are not used, I think are fixed to something like 4 seconds..I remember in previous versions, the limit was not 30 seconds like now and did work..
I think anyway that if that timeout limit is configurable need...

All The video plugins (YouTube FM, OnlineVideos, wwiTV, ...) don´t sound by the soundblaster choiced in Mediaportal configuration but always they sound by the default windows soundblaster.
With the sound plugins (Last.Fm, Shoutcast, ...) that don´t happen and they sound by the soundblaster that you choiced it in Mediaportal...

You don't need to rename/copy it. As long as the filter is regsitered anywhere on your system, the TV server will find it. If you had of just regsvr32 the mux file in the client directory on the server, the server would have used it fine.

That works correctly for me also, using creative audigy4.
But I have had things go foobar on the driver when the above happens, but it did it for all files video\audio, reinstalling the driver resolved, whether it could just affect one application, possibly, may be how it outputs the sound to the driver, or be a certain frequency.

Ah OK, I found the file that had to be deleted it was "bass_wv.dll" in "MusicPlayer\plugins\audio decoders".
After the deletion everything went back to normal!

Just downloaded and installed the new MediaPortal and discovered that when setting up my analogue Hauppauge pvr-350 card, it was not possible to set the quality control. This worked just fine in 0.2.3 (if I remember the version number correctly)
