Thanks for the welcome! Setting up the tv-client was easy. MP/tv-server itself took some more effort, but nothing the threads in this forum and others couldn't solve.

You can use either over-air-based EPG or Web-based EPG. MP support both. Web-based EPG is in my opinion more reliable than over-air. Here in Denmark the probram-discription can only be downloaded for the next day while web-based EPG can download the programdiscriptions 14 days ahead.

So why is the version of the plugin 1.0.0.0? Should it not be 2.0.0.0, or was the previous plugin's version 0.0.0.1 or something similar?
Anyway, good to have sorted that out :). Been working like a treat, I've got XMLTV GUI scheduled by XP once per week, and xmltv updates all the channels in no time :)!

No matter what setting you set Conflicts manager to in TVE3, it always reverts back to " Fast ".. Any clue as to why...
Most of the TV programs in EPG are shown in Finnish (as they should). However about 5% of the program names & descriptions are shown for some reason in Swedish (Finland is a bilingual country). My DVB-C receiver shows all the titles in Finnish. Are you familiar with this issue?

Searching via a keyword would be a nice feature as standard from within the normal serach section in MP. searching just by one letter seems a bit pointless to me.

I guess you are not using TVE3 as the "Delete old programs before import" was introduced about 6 months ago in the XmlTV2 plugin (which is now XmlTV, having replaced the original XmlTV plugin) to cater for exactly this problem.
This means that the data is deleted from the EPG database just before the tvguide.xml file...
